I am a qualified counsellor providing person-centred, psycho-dynamic and integrative counselling and psychotherapy. I have 9 years experience in counselling and over 26 years experience working with adults with physical and/or mental health and/or learning disabilities, and with young and adult carers. I am a BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) registered member and adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I aim to provide you with a safe and non-judgemental space to enable you to explore issues that are impacting on your life. To support you in your individual needs to empower you to find your own answers and/or solutions in moving forward.
Training & Experience
My social care experience includes working with a wide variety of people with physical and psychological care needs within their own home and communities and within residential and health care settings. I progressed to becoming a qualified counsellor in 2014 providing volunteer counselling to local charitable organisations in Leicestershire.
I have attended many Continual Professional Development (CPD) courses including the following subject areas:
Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
Certificate of HE in Psychodynamic Counselling

I work with a wide variety of issues and with whatever you wish to bring to the sessions.Examples include:
Payments at the first session are taken during the session. There is no obligation to continue. If you wish to proceed, payments are taken in advance to insure the booking of your next session. Payments can be made by cash, cheque or online.
There is no obligation to how many sessions you wish to have.
Sessions are normally weekly but this is negotiable.
I work with individuals from 13 years upwards.
Therapy is 1:1 and face to face in a small therapy room setting.
Availability at Coalville depends on the room availability at The Marlene Reid Centre.
Coalville Parking - there is on-road parking and short stay car parks within a short walking distance.
Coalville Access - Counselling rooms are on the ground floor. There are a few steps into the reception area.
Blaby Parking - the Civic Centre has some free parking spaces for visitors, plus short stay car parks within a short walking distance.
Blaby Access - the counselling room is on the first floor with access via stairs or a lift.
